PM Modi to Inaugurate ‘Advantage Assam 2.0’ Summit Focusing on Investment and Infrastructure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment & Infrastructure Summit’ on February 24 at Khanapara Veterinary Ground, Guwahati. The summit aims to explore infrastructure opportunities and leverage Bhutan’s river waters for irrigation.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized Assam’s positive investment climate due to declining militancy and unrest. The summit will focus on sectors like infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, technology, tourism, and energy.

International outreach events are planned in countries like Singapore, Japan, the US, and Bhutan, while roadshows will be held in major Indian cities. The event will also feature a grand Jhumur dance performance by 7,500 artists.

Union Finance Minister and other Union Ministers are expected to attend key sessions.
