Another death in Guwahati as a result of negligence in a water supply project

A youth died after falling into an open pit dug for water supplies. On Thursday, the incident occurred in the city’s Hengrabari area, and he died on Saturday as a result of his injuries.

On Thursday night, a youth named Mantu Deka was walking back home when he fell into a pit dug under Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)-funded projects. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the injuries he sustained in the accident. On Saturday, he died as a result of his injuries.
