Assam DGP: Some people taking advantage of Madrasas
Terror groups Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) have been trying to spread their wings in Assam.
Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said that some people are taking “advantage” of the madrasas sprouting in the state. The police official noted that the terrorism conspiracy is being hatched outside Assam, from neighbouring Bangladesh. He informed that 34 people affiliated with Qaeda have already been arrested so far.
