Cigarettes and ganja worth over 40 crores were destroyed in Guwahati

As part of Special Campaign 3.0, customs sleuths destroyed cigarettes worth more than Rs 29 crore and ganja worth more than Rs 14 crore, officials said here on Thursday.

In the presence of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) chairman Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, a consignment of 1.51 crore cigarettes and 9077.24 kg ganja was disposed of.
