Assam CM Himanta flags off Delhi-bound train carrying 270 urns under Amrit Kalash Yatra

Today, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma flagged off a Delhi-bound train carrying as many as 270 urns (kalash) containing soils collected from every development block and municipal area of the state as part of the Amrit Kalash Yatra from the Guwahati Railway Station.

Speaking to reporters at the Guwahati Railway Stations today, Chief Minister Sarma stated that on October 31, soils from Assam would be mixed with soils from across the country in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and that these soils would be used in the construction of the “Amrit Vatika” in New Delhi.
