Manipur Police held 2 and recovered 6 stolen vehicles

Six stolen vehicles have been recovered from the house of one Imtiyas alias Apik s/o late Md Helim of Lilong Makha Leikai yesterday.

The stolen vehicles recovered by Manipur Police commandos from the house of Imtiyas alias Apik located at Lilong Mayai Leikai included one Honda Dio, three TVS NTORQ and two Maruti Alto.

Even as a massive search was conducted to arrest Imtiyas alias Apik and his gang members, information was received that they were planning to steal some vehicles from MBC Church area on Christmas Day.

As such, the commandos rushed to MBC Church area and managed to detain two gang members identified as Yumkhaibam Islao Rahaman (23) s/o Md Islamuddin of Lilong Dam Mamang and Khullakpam Sahid Ali alias Mamei alias Ashif (20) s/o Md Rashid Ali of Lilong Dam Makha.

The arrested persons and the seized items were handed over to Lilong police station and a case was registered for necessary legal action.
