Mob attacks a doctor in Tripura hospital after finding no ambulance

A mob assaulted a doctor on duty at Kanika Memorial Primary Health Centre at Singerbhil in Unakoti district on Sunday night when they found that the ambulance there was lying defunct. It also vandalised the hospital and the vehicle.

The injured medical officer, Dr Satyajit Dutta, has been shifted to Agartala Government Medical College and is out of danger. He sustained grievous injuries in his face and head.
