The cost of the Meghalaya Assembly building project has increased to Rs 200 crore

According to Assembly Speaker Thomas Sangma on Thursday, the price tag for building a new Meghalaya Legislative Assembly building has increased from the initial estimate of Rs 141 crore to Rs 200 crore.

The construction of the design for the new Assembly building has begun, according to the Speaker, and it should be finished within a year.
