Police resisted the HNYM unemployment protest rally

The police vigorously opposed the Hynniewtrep National Youth Movement’s (HNYM) protest against unemployment and prevented them from approaching the secretariat.

“We need jobs. We don’t need festivals,” read the placards of the protestors as they shouted slogans. Stopped by the police from proceeding further, the protestors continue their protest by relocating to the Mot u Kiang Nangbah point near Civil Hospital, Shillong.
