2 women held in Meghalaya with Bangladesh currency

The Border Security Force (BSF) in East Khasi Hills’ Danger on Monday nabbed two women with 90,000 Bangladeshi taka, which is Rs 69,500 approximately.

In a statement, the 193 Battalion of BSF said the two women, Primala Hajong and Rimi Bhadra, are residents of Betgora in Danger.

During questioning, both revealed that they entered Bangladesh through the unfenced border and received the money from a prominent Bangladeshi smuggler. The seized Bangladeshi currency has been handed over to the local police.
