A woman from Meghalaya claims she discovered nails in tablets given to her by a health centre

A woman in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district claimed on Monday that she discovered nails inside antibiotic tablets prescribed by doctors at Pomlum Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) for her 12-year-old daughter, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.

They said the incident happened on Saturday when the mother discovered two nails inside two of the ten amoxicillin tablets prescribed by doctors at the PHC.
