Assam Cabinet Greenlights Rural Road Projects and Unveils Vikas Yatra, Mission Basundhara 3.0 Initiatives

In its weekly cabinet meeting on Monday, the Assam cabinet approved 12 projects under Asom Mala 2.0, allocating Rs. 1,510.98 crore to enhance the state’s rural road network. Additionally, key decisions included the announcement of ‘Vikas Yatra’ scheduled from March 1 to 10, where 2,776 projects, costing over Rs. 23,000 crore, will be initiated. Mission Basundhara 2.0 will conclude on February 16, paving the way for Mission Basundhara 3.0, focusing on digitalizing land settlement and distributing ceremonial pattas from February 23 to 29. The cabinet also granted concurrence for Rs. 107.30 crore to make housing loans more affordable for state government employees under the Apon Ghar-subsidized Housing Loan Scheme, benefiting 37,626 employees with approximately Rs. 5,222 crore disbursed through banks.
