Assam Celebrates National Milk Day with Awards and Launch of Mobile App

The Directorate of Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Department celebrated National Milk Day at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium in Guwahati on Tuesday. The event, attended by Minister Atul Bora, highlighted the government’s initiatives to boost milk production, including animal health services and Mobile Veterinary Units.

Nine awards were presented to top Dairy Cooperatives and Artificial Insemination (AI) Technicians. A trilingual mobile app was also launched to provide farmers with expert advice and scheme information. The event was attended by several government officials and farmers from across Assam.
