BJP yet to announce its candidate from North Shillong

With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) yet to announce its candidate from North Shillong, the electoral conundrum continues to exacerbate in the constituency with both M Kharkrang and Michael Kharsyntiew individually paying visits to the electorates and seeking support from them.

As both the ticket aspirants continue to prove their worth to the senior BJP leadership by holding individual meetings and constituting party bodies, some observers say that seeking support from electorates individually would make a negative impact on the party since the voters will themselves be in a fix about the candidate.

As the BJP seems to be in no hurry in making its intent clear about its candidate from North Shillong constituency, many contend that the delay is going to have adverse effect on the party prospects in the constituency.
