CM Sarma Proposes Northeast Tourism Museum at International Tourism Mart

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has proposed a Tourism Museum to showcase the Northeast’s cultural and scenic attractions. Speaking at the 12th International Tourism Mart (ITM) in Kaziranga, Sarma emphasized that the museum would help global tourists better plan their visits to the diverse region.

He suggested Delhi or Guwahati as ideal locations for the museum, aiming to boost awareness of the region’s tourism potential. The event, inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, also featured a Coffee Table Book launch and cultural experiences. ITM concludes with FAM tours of Northeast destinations.
