Gauhati University to Introduce Semiconductor Courses & Climate Study Centre

Gauhati University (GU) will launch technical courses on the semiconductor industry, aligning with the upcoming semiconductor plant in Jagiroad. A climate change study centre will also be established.

VC Nani Gopal Mahanta announced a collaboration with Terry for the GU-Terry Centre on Himalayan Studies. GU will also partner with NIELIT for a semiconductor university project, featuring AI, IoT, cybersecurity, and machine learning labs.

Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jyotiraditya Scindia are set to visit GU, with Scindia arriving on February 25 to make key announcements.
