Plastic Waste Pollution Leads to Fish Deaths in Pathsala Rivulet

The ‘Bisarnala Jan’ in Pathsala has become a victim of unabated plastic waste disposal, causing widespread fish deaths and environmental degradation. Despite being a small rivulet located just 150 meters away from the Pathsala Municipality Board, it has turned into a dumping site for garbage and non-biodegradable waste like plastic. This irresponsible behavior not only pollutes the water but also poses serious health risks to residents due to the foul odor and potential spread of diseases from decomposed fish. Locals, including senior citizens and student representatives, have expressed concern and urged authorities to take immediate action to clean up the canal and prevent further environmental damage. However, the lack of response from the municipality highlights the urgent need for effective waste management measures to safeguard the ecosystem and public health.
