Police Operations in Guwahati Lead to Arrests: Firearms Seized and Poacher Captured

Chandmari Police in Guwahati detained two individuals in the Garchuk area for possession of illegal firearms in a recent operation. Each person was found with a pistol, indicating their involvement in illegal firearms trade. Meanwhile, West Bengal Police, in collaboration with Guwahati authorities, successfully arrested a long-elusive poacher, Risak Narjinari, after tracking him for five years. The joint operation, assisted by Geetanagar Police, led to Narjinari’s capture. He was accused of various wildlife crimes, including rhino horn and elephant tusk poaching across India.
