Unhygienic Garbage Dumping at Panbazar Raises Concerns

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation’s (GMC) failure to manage garbage disposal has caused severe issues near BSNL Bhawan, Panbazar. Roadside dumping and lingering foul smells have made life difficult for pedestrians, residents, and employees of nearby establishments.

BSNL officials claim that restaurant workers dump waste in the area, and GMC staff clean it only late at night. However, the stench persists all day, disrupting daily life and sleep for BSNL quarter residents.

Locals urge the GMC to reinstate dustbins, enforce strict measures, and prevent unhygienic practices to resolve the long-standing issue.
