US-India Initiative PRERANA Launched to Enhance Reproductive Health in Northeast India

The US government, through USAID and Jhpiego, launched the PRERANA initiative to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) in Northeast India. This five-year program will focus on empowering youth in eight states, including Assam and Nagaland, with resources for informed health decisions.

PRERANA aims to build an inclusive health ecosystem, promote gender equality, and address SRH challenges through partnerships with local governments, community organizations, and health providers. The launch event in Guwahati brought together stakeholders to strategize for better SRH outcomes and sustainable development in the region.
