A teen boy dies after being struck by lightning in Meghalaya

On Friday, a 16-year-old boy was killed by lightning while walking home from school in Mawten Village, Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District.

According to reports, the 16-year-old boy, identified as Aiborlang Marwei, a class 10 student at Mawten Secondary School, sought refuge under a tree on his way home from school. Unfortunately, lightning struck and killed the young boy.
