Govt. Urges PMAY-G Beneficiaries to Link Aadhaar for Fund Transfers
The government has directed beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) to link their Aadhaar with their bank accounts and enable the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) for smooth disbursement of funds. ABPS, now mandatory for rural development schemes, ensures direct and secure transfer of financial assistance to recipients’ accounts.
With Assam receiving an additional target of 1,71,593 houses under PMAY-G 2.0, beneficiaries are advised to visit their banks and update their details. Those facing difficulties can seek assistance from local Gaon Panchayat or Block offices. Aadhaar camps will also be set up to help expedite the process. Once completed, beneficiaries will start receiving their installments for house construction.
